The S-70B-2 Bravo Seahawk made it’s final ever journey today as it flew over Parliament House and the Australian War Memorial. Here it is touching down at EPIC before it begins it’s journey to the AWM. The aircraft, nicknamed “Christine”, officially retired from active service in a ceremony on Friday.
The Seahawks have been used for 29 years with much of its service spent in the Middle East. The Chief of Navy officially handed the Log Book of the aircraft to Dr Brendan Nelson, as head of the Australian War Memorial.
