Australian Tourism Awards 2014
On Friday 11th April in Adelaide, the spotlight was on two of our much loved events at the Australian Tourism Awards Finals – the National Folk Festival and the Capital Region Farmers Markets.
These prestigious awards recognise the best tourism products on the market across Australia covering 28 categories. The journey to the national awards includes a rigorous application and judging process, followed by winning the title at the ACT and Region Tourism Awards last November, where they were up against some stiff competition.
Both events have a long history at Exhibition Park in Canberra and we are pleased they have been recognised as key tourism drivers for the region. We think they do a sensational job and are proud to house their events in our facilities.
While neither took out the top gong this year, the National Folk Festival was awarded a bronze prize in the Festivals and Events category – an exceptional achievement. Congratulations again to all involved, from the team at Exhibition Park!
